Job Description
- Specialise in creating confectionery and other pastry-based items in the kitchen.
- . His duties include baking traditional confectionery, contributing new items to pastry selections, and overseeing pastry section staff. They may also be required to maintain supply inventories.
- Creating enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of new pastry baking techniques.
- Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies.
- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all food items.
- ● Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
