Job Description
- Reviewing technical plans drawn by architects and engineers
- Installing and fixing together steel girders, pipework and beam sections to make a steel framework
- Lifting and guiding components into position with tower cranes
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Should have TESDA NCII Certificate or Trade Test Certificate in Structural Erection.
- Possession of a certificate for work at heights and the use of lifting equipment is considered as an additional qualification.
- Must have a strong background in steel erection & assembly in construction.
- Must be competent in using a variety of tools and heavy machinery.
- Must be competent in measuring, cutting & fabrication of steel components.
- Must be competent in handling & working on different steel frames and girders to construct steel structures.
- Must be competent in unloading, stacking and lifting into place prefabricated steel.
- Must be competent in moving steel components into place using cranes, cabling, forklifts or other equipment.
