Program and operate machines like saws, lathes, routers, and sanders to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
Study materials and specifications, and prepare and load raw materials onto the machines
Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, and translate instructions into computer commands.
Inspect workflows to ensure quality standards are met, and inspect finished products to ensure they match the blueprint.
Perform daily maintenance checks, and clean, maintain, and perform routine inspections on the machines.
Follow safety procedures and regulations, and attend safety and educational training meetings.
Train apprentices how to use the equipment properly.

A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.

No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
