Diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in poultry flocks.
Monitor bird health and behavior to detect early signs of illness or stress.
Provide guidance on proper vaccination programs and administer vaccines when necessary.
Develop and implement biosecurity protocols to minimize disease outbreaks.
Investigate disease outbreaks, conduct post-mortem examinations, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with farm managers and production staff to manage and control infectious diseases.
Advise on proper nutrition, housing, and environmental conditions to optimize poultry health and productivity.
Work closely with production teams to improve growth rates, egg production, or meat quality.
Ensure humane handling of birds during all stages of production.
Ensure all veterinary practices comply with local, national, and international animal health regulations.
Maintain accurate records of treatments, vaccinations, and inspections as required by law.
Train farm staff on proper handling, hygiene, and biosecurity measures.
Educate employees on recognizing symptoms of common poultry diseases and appropriate responses.
Work with nutritionists, farm managers, and quality assurance teams to address health-related concerns.
Prepare detailed reports on flock health, disease outbreaks, and treatments for management review.

No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.

Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent, with specialization in poultry or avian medicine.
Can communicate well in English
Willing to work in Saudi Arabia for a 2-year contract
Licensure and certification as required by the local veterinary regulatory body.
Proven experience in poultry health management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of poultry diseases, vaccination protocols, and biosecurity measures.
Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in farm environments and manage multiple flocks simultaneously.
