Job Description
- • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on jet skis, including oil changes, spark plug replacements and fuel system servicing.
- • Inspect, service and repair jet units, including impeller, wear rings and intermediate sections.
- • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using computer diagnostic software for onboard systems.
- • Conduct detailed inspections of hulls, steering systems, intake grates, jet pumps and drive systems to ensure optimal performance.
- • Review, implement and maintain scheduled maintenance programs to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
- • Manage breakdowns efficiently and effectively, both in the workshop and in the field to ensure rapid resolution.
- • Work extensively with brands such as Yamaha and Sea-Doo adhering to manufacturer specifications and standards.
- • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times
- • Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs and inspections. Prepare reports on the jet ski fleet.
- • Manage inventory and order parts for repairs
- • Stay up-to-date with advancements in jet ski technology and participate in training sessions when required
- • Assist with launching and retrieving jet skis when required
- • A commitment to safety as the highest priority, consistently operating above best practices
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- • Proven experience (5+ years) in jet ski repair and maintenance, particularly with brands like Yamaha and Sea-Doo.
- • Strong technical skills in servicing and repairing jet units, including impellers, intermediate sections and jet pump assemblies.
- • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems using computer diagnostic tools.
- • Ability to manage scheduled maintenance programs while effectively handling unexpected breakdowns.
- • Excellent ability to work independently in the field and workshop, troubleshooting issues on-site when required.
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- • Computer-literate (Word, Excel and Email)
- • Strong commitment to safety as the highest priority, consistently operating above best practices.
- • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- • Marine technician certifications (preferred) and with clean criminal record
