Job Description
- Responsible for visual, basic ndt (thickness measurement), dimension, surface and welding inspection of steel pipe in accordance with developed criteria (wps, mps, itp, checklists, process card etc.
- Responsible to prepare timely qc reports after inspection, maintain records and keep measuring instruments in good condition,
- Responsible to monitor validity of calibration of measuring instruments; Responsible of safe operation of inspection activity
- Responsible to do inspection to clients; Completing other temporary/ permanent tasks required by supervisors
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical); Engineering(Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Holds a technical secondary school or diploma or Bachelor degree in science
- Having welding certification e.g. (CSWIP) or (CWI) or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in shielded metal arc welding (smaw), Gas arc welding (gmaw) & submerged arc welding (saw) and other welding processes in line pipe manufacturing mill or similar industry.
- Proficiency in english and/or Arabic
