Job Description
- In-depth knowledge of international and national airfield standards, including those set by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization and other relevant authorities
- Understanding of the technical specifications for airfield infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting systems, markings, and signage
- Knowledge of airfield pavement design, construction, and maintenance standards, including materials, structural integrity, and load-bearing capacity
- Familiarity with safety management principles as they apply to airfield operations, including risk assessment and safety performance metrics
- Awareness of environmental regulations and sustainability practices related to airfield operations, such as wildlife management, pollution control, and energy efficiency
- Expertise in ensuring that all aspects of airfield design, construction, and operations comply with relevant aviation standards and regulations
- Ability to provide expert advice on airfield design, construction, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with the latest standards and best practices
- Proficiency in conducting audits and inspections of airfield facilities to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement
- Experience in participating in or leading the development of new or revised airfield standards, including collaboration with regulatory bodies and industry groups
- Skills in developing and delivering training programs on airfield standards, regulations, and best practices to airport staff and stakeholders
- Expertise in supporting airfield projects from a standards perspective, ensuring that all designs, materials, and construction methods meet or exceed regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics); Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Bachelor's Degree: Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering
- Experience in airfield operations, design, or maintenance.
- At least three years of this experience at Airports
- Professional Certifications are advantage: Certified Member (C.M.), ICAO Airport Planning and Design Certificate, Pavement Management Certification, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
