Job Description
- Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, especially cold rooms, chillers, and freezers.
- Perform soldering and brazing to secure connections and ensure system efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues.
- Assemble and install cold room panels, doors, and refrigeration units.
- Ensure proper insulation, sealing, and temperature regulation during installation.
- Install and maintain kitchen hoods.
- Ensure compliance with ventilation and fire safety standards.
- Install and repair kitchen plumbing systems, including sinks, water lines, and drainage systems.
- Conduct leak detection and ensure proper water flow and pressure.
- Install and connect kitchen appliances to electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform routine maintenance on wiring and connections.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations.
- Arrange and install kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, and dishwashers, according to design plans.
- Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of all installed equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment.
- Respond to service calls and address emergency repairs promptly.
- Work may require lifting heavy equipment and tools.
- May involve exposure to loud noise, heat, and cold environments.
- Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Computer Science/Information technology; Engineering(Electrical/Electronic); Engineering(Mechanical); Personal Services & Building/Ground Services or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience as a kitchen technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in refrigeration systems, including soldering and brazing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with cold room and hood installations.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation and repair.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and safe wiring practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to kitchen installations
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
- Electrical or plumbing certification is a plus.
